Typally is a voice-to-text application for Windows and a set of free browser tools. When you dictate or upload audio, it is sent to our servers, transcribed using third-party AI infrastructure (Groq), and the resulting text is returned to you. Audio is processed transiently and not stored.
The desktop app requires an account and a paid subscription after the free trial. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and can be cancelled anytime from the app (Settings → Account → Manage subscription); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice.
Subscriptions include a fair-use cap (currently 2,000 transcription minutes per month) intended to stop abuse, not normal use. Free browser tools have daily limits. Automated, bulk, or resale use of the service is not permitted.
You keep all rights to what you say and transcribe. Transcripts are stored on your device, not on our servers. You are responsible for what you record and for having any required consent from people you record.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. Transcription is automated and may contain errors — review before relying on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.
