The short version

Your transcripts stay on your device. Your audio is transcribed and immediately discarded. We store only your account email, subscription status, and usage counters.

What we process

• Audio you dictate or upload is sent over an encrypted connection to our proxy server and forwarded to Groq (our AI transcription provider) for processing. Neither we nor Groq retain the audio or the transcript after the response is returned.
• Transcripts and history created by the desktop app are stored only on your computer. They never reach our servers.
• Account data: your email address and password hash (managed by Supabase), your subscription status (managed with Stripe), and monthly usage counters (minutes transcribed, number of calls) used to enforce fair-use limits.
• Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see your card number.

What we don't do

• We don't store your voice or your transcripts on our servers.
• We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
• We don't train AI models on your audio.

Free browser tools

The free tools on this website work the same way: audio is transcribed and discarded. We keep a temporary in-memory counter per IP address to enforce daily limits; it is not written to disk.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all server-side data by emailing us. EU users have the rights provided by GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability). Since transcripts live on your device, deleting them is in your hands.
